The MEHWG Intersessional Meeting and 8th HSTWG

The Marine Electronic Highway (MEH) Working Group Intersessional Meeting and 8th Hydrographic Survey Technical Working Group (HSTWG) on The Joint Hydrographic Survey of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore was held at Aston Batam Hotel and Residences, Indonesia on 22-23 August 2019.

The MEHWG Intersessional Meeting was convened to review and discuss the various aspect of the Marine Electronic Highway (MEH) Data Centre including the harmonisation of data formats and way forward while the HSTWG Intersessional Meeting was convened to discuss the progress of implementation Joint Hydrographic Survey (JHS) Phase-2 in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS) in 2019.

The meeting was attended by the three littoral States – Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, representatives from Malacca Strait Council (MSC), Japan Hydrographic Association, and the appointed contractor for the JHS (Aero Asahi Corporation).
